How a Muslim Helped the World to See ?

At the Second Golden Age, part of our effort is to go directly to the original Arabic historical sources and evaluate (and revive!) the history that we were REALLY taught. And only then can we truly understand our rich innovative and scientific tradition.
Meet Abul Hassan ibn Ishaq, the man from Baghdad who helped us to see clearer in more ways than one. In this episode of the we presented Abul Hassan Ibn Ishaq who was an expert in glass and lens making. He is the first person to create a telescope and use it for astronomical observations.
Unfortunately, for centuries Galileo has been presented as this major game changer who ushered in the Scientific Revolution with his invention of the telescope and his theories on astronomy and physics.
Neither did the Scientific Revolution take place in the 17th century, nor was Galileo unique in those theories and he didn't invent the telescope either. Now that must tell you how much of the history that we were taught needs to be revised. How much would we have to unlearn and relearn about the world! You can start from here
